Playback Controls
The playback controls give you everything you need to listen to your tracks without leaving your workflow. The floating player bar sits at the bottom of your screen, always accessible, letting you control audio playback while you work on other tasks.
The Floating Player Bar
Section titled “The Floating Player Bar”When you start playing a track, a slim player bar slides up from the bottom of your screen. It stays out of your way while you work, giving you quick access to all playback functions without interrupting your creative flow.
The player has three main areas:
- Left side — track info, artwork, and the favorite button
- Center — transport controls and the progress bar
- Right side — queue, volume, and close controls
Transport Controls
Section titled “Transport Controls”The center of the player bar holds your essential playback buttons. You will find play and pause combined into a single button that toggles based on the current state. Next to it are buttons to skip to the previous track or jump to the next one in your queue.
The play button shows a triangle when paused and switches to two vertical bars when music is playing. This makes it easy to see the current state at a glance.
Clicking the previous button goes to the previous track in the queue.
Progress Bar and Seeking
Section titled “Progress Bar and Seeking”The progress bar stretches across the center of the player below the transport buttons. A small time indicator on the left shows your current position, and one on the right shows the total duration.
To seek to a specific moment, click anywhere on the progress bar or drag the slider thumb. The bar updates in real time as the track plays, giving you a visual sense of where you are in the song.
The progress slider uses a green accent color that matches the rest of the interface, with a white thumb that is easy to grab with your cursor.
Volume Controls
Section titled “Volume Controls”On the right side of the player, you will find the volume slider and a button to toggle mute. The volume slider adjusts playback volume from silent to full blast.
Clicking the volume button mutes all audio instantly. When muted, the player remembers your previous volume level, so clicking the button again restores it to where it was.
Volume is independent of your system volume, so you can keep your computer at full volume and control app-level volume separately here.
Shuffle and Repeat
Section titled “Shuffle and Repeat”Two small buttons on either side of the transport controls give you playback mode options. The shuffle button randomizes the order of tracks in your queue, while the repeat button cycles through repeat modes.
Repeat has three states: off, repeat all, and repeat one. Each click advances to the next mode. When repeat one is active, the current track loops continuously until you change it.
Track Information Display
Section titled “Track Information Display”On the left side of the player, you see the current track name and any associated artist or project. A small colored block shows the track artwork or a generated gradient if no artwork has been set.
A tiny heart icon sits next to the track info. Click it to add the current track to your favorites without opening any menus.
Queue and Close Controls
Section titled “Queue and Close Controls”A button shaped like a small list on the right side opens your playback queue, showing what tracks are coming up next. This lets you see and rearrange your upcoming music.
The close button on the far right stops playback and slides the player bar back down off screen. Your position in the current track is remembered, so you can pick up exactly where you left off.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Section titled “Keyboard Shortcuts”The spacebar toggles play and pause from anywhere in the app. This lets you control playback without reaching for the mouse while you are working on other things.
Shortcuts are handled by a dedicated manager to prevent conflicts, so pressing spacebar will not trigger playback in unrelated areas of the interface.
