Upcoming Deadlines

The Upcoming Deadlines widget lives right on your dashboard home page, giving you a quick visual overview of everything that’s due soon. Instead of hunting through individual tracks or losing track of dates in a separate app, you see everything that matters in one central place.

Whether you’re juggling multiple releases, coordinating with collaborators on mix dates, or just trying to remember when that client demo is due, the deadlines widget keeps you oriented without switching contexts.

The widget displays a calendar-style view with deadline markers overlaid on the dates. Each deadline appears as a colored chip showing the track name and what kind of deadline it is — such as a release date, mix deadline, or custom due date.

Deadlines are grouped by proximity:

  • Today — anything due immediately, shown at the top with heightened visibility
  • This Week — deadlines coming up in the next seven days
  • Later — anything scheduled beyond the current week

The widget automatically pulls due dates from your tracks. Any track that has a due date set will appear here, making it impossible to lose sight of time-sensitive work.

Each deadline card shows:

  • Track name — the song or project the deadline belongs to
  • Deadline type — a small label indicating what kind of deadline (Release, Mix, Review, or Custom)
  • Date and time — when the deadline is set
  • Days remaining — a quick countdown showing how long until it’s due
  • Bucket indicator — which project the track belongs to

If a deadline has already passed, it moves to a “Past Due” section with a subtle red accent so you can quickly address anything that’s slipped.

You don’t have to scroll through every deadline at once. Use the filter buttons above the widget to narrow your view:

  • All — shows every upcoming deadline regardless of when
  • This Week — focuses only on the next seven days
  • This Month — shows everything due within the current calendar month

This is handy when you’re in the thick of a production sprint and only want to see what’s immediately pressing.

Deadlines on the dashboard are pulled directly from your track data. When you set a due date on a track in the Tracks view, it automatically appears here on the dashboard. This means you’re never managing deadlines in two places — it’s always synced.

Click any deadline card to jump directly to that track. The dashboard keeps your navigation seamless, so you can go from seeing a deadline to working on the track in seconds.

Each deadline card is color-coded based on the track’s current workflow stage. This gives you instant context about where the track sits in your pipeline:

  • Purple — Idea phase
  • Blue — Editing or production
  • Green — Ready to Post
  • Gold — Published or delivered

When you see a deadline card in blue, you know that track is still in editing. A green card means it’s nearly ready to go out. This color system helps you prioritize without reading every detail.

While you can view deadlines on the dashboard, setting them happens from the Tracks view or directly from the track’s detail panel. Here’s how to add a deadline:

  1. Navigate to the Tracks page and select the track you want to set a deadline for
  2. Open the track’s detail panel or click to edit its properties
  3. Find the Due Date field and click to open the date picker
  4. Select your desired date and optionally set a specific time
  5. Choose the deadline type from the dropdown (Release, Mix, Review, or Custom)
  6. Save your changes

The deadline will immediately appear on your dashboard. There’s no extra step needed to sync it.

Producer Dashboard sends you notifications as deadlines approach. You’ll receive alerts:

  • 24 hours before a deadline
  • On the day of the deadline
  • If a deadline has passed without action

These notifications appear in the notification panel and can also be sent via email if you’ve configured your notification preferences in Settings.

If deadlines have passed without being marked complete, they accumulate in the Past Due section at the bottom of the widget. These are shown with a red indicator and older styling to signal they need attention.

You can either complete the task and mark it done, or adjust the deadline if circumstances have changed. Either way, the Past Due section ensures nothing falls through the cracks silently.

Your dashboard is designed to be the first thing you see when you open Producer Dashboard. By placing deadlines front and center, the app keeps your production schedule visible without requiring you to dig for it.

Many producers work across multiple clients and projects simultaneously. Deadlines on the dashboard let you answer questions like “What am I delivering this week?” or “Is anything overdue?” at a glance. This reduces cognitive load and helps you stay organized without relying on external to-do apps.
