Purchase Flow

When you find a beat you love on a producer’s public page, the purchase flow is how you secure your license and get your files. This walkthrough takes you through each step of the buying experience, so you know exactly what to expect from start to finish.

Producers who sell licenses through Producer Dashboard display their beats on a public-facing page. You can access this page through a share link the producer provides — either directly or embedded on their website.

On the track page, you’ll see the beat’s artwork, title, and any preview information the producer has included. If licensing is enabled, you’ll also see the available license options displayed as cards or a pricing table.

Each license option shows:

  • License name — such as “Non-Exclusive Lease,” “Premium Lease,” or “Exclusive Rights”
  • Price — the cost for that tier
  • What’s included — which file formats you receive (MP3, WAV, stems, project files)
  • Usage rights — a brief summary of what you’re allowed to do with the beat

You don’t need an account to browse. You only need to provide your email when you make a purchase.

Review the available options and choose the license that fits your needs. Here’s a quick breakdown of what typical licenses include:

  • MP3 and/or WAV file
  • Limited number of streams or sales (e.g., up to 5,000)
  • Credit required in most cases
  • Producer retains the right to sell the beat to others
  • Higher-quality files including stems
  • Expanded or unlimited commercial use
  • Fewer restrictions than a basic lease
  • Still non-exclusive in most cases
  • Full ownership transfer
  • All project files included
  • Producer cannot resell the beat
  • Highest price tier
  • Suitable for major releases

If you need help deciding, look for a “Compare Licenses” button or expandable details. Some producers include a side-by-side comparison table so you can weigh your options quickly.

When you find the license you want, click the Buy or License button next to that option. The button label depends on how the producer has styled their page, but both initiate the same checkout process.

You’ll be prompted to enter:

  • Your email address — where your purchase confirmation and download links will be sent
  • Your name — optional in some cases, but recommended for your records

After entering your information, click Continue to Payment to proceed.

The checkout uses Stripe for secure payment processing. You’ll see a Stripe-hosted payment form where you can:

  • Enter your credit or debit card details
  • Use Apple Pay or Google Pay if available
  • Apply any promo codes the producer has offered

Your payment information is handled directly by Stripe — Producer Dashboard never stores your card details.

Once you’ve entered your payment method, click Pay to complete the purchase. You’ll see a processing screen while the transaction is verified.

When payment succeeds, you’re redirected to a confirmation page. This page confirms your purchase details:

  • The beat name and license type you bought
  • The amount charged
  • A download button to access your files

If you’re logged into the email account you provided, the download button appears immediately. If not, you may need to verify your email first before accessing your files.

Your download links are active for 30 days from the date of purchase. After that window closes, the links expire and you won’t be able to download directly from the page.

If your links expire, contact the producer with your order confirmation. They can generate new download links for you manually.

The files you download depend on the license tier you purchased. Common deliverables include:

  • MP3 — compressed audio file, easy to share and preview
  • WAV — uncompressed, studio-quality audio
  • Stems — individual instrument tracks (drums, bass, vocals, etc.)
  • Project files — yourDAW session file (Logic, FL Studio, Ableton, etc.)

Not all licenses include all file types. Check the license description before purchasing to confirm what you’ll receive.

Your download package also includes a license agreement outlining the terms of use. Keep this file for your records, especially if you’re using the beat commercially.

If your payment doesn’t go through, double-check that:

  • Your card details are correct
  • You have sufficient funds
  • Your bank isn’t blocking the transaction
  • Stripe supports your card type

Try again or use an alternative payment method. If problems persist, contact your bank or try a different card.

If you can’t access your files after purchase:

  • Make sure you’re checking the correct email address
  • Try clearing your browser cache and clicking the link again
  • Check if the link has expired (30-day window)

If the link has expired or you never received the email, reach out to the producer directly with your order confirmation details.

In rare cases, a producer’s file delivery system may be unavailable. If you see a message about the seller needing to reconnect their storage, contact the producer. Their files aren’t lost — they just need to reconnect their Dropbox account to restore delivery.

  • Save your download links immediately — don’t wait until day 29 to grab your files. Download them right away and keep a backup.

  • Read the license terms before purchasing — make sure the usage rights match your project. If you plan to release commercially or on major platforms, an exclusive or premium lease may be necessary.

  • Use a valid email address — your download links and purchase confirmation are sent to the email you provide. Double-check for typos.

  • Screenshot your order confirmation — this makes it easier to resolve issues if you need to contact the producer later.
