Keyboard Shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts let you control playback, navigate your library, and perform common actions without reaching for your mouse. Once you learn a few key combinations, you’ll move through your tracks and manage your workflow much faster.
How Shortcuts Work
Section titled “How Shortcuts Work”The dashboard intelligently avoids triggering shortcuts while you’re typing. Shortcuts are automatically ignored when your cursor is in:
- Search fields
- Text inputs
- Modal dialogs
- Any other editable area
This means you can type freely in the search box without accidentally playing tracks or jumping around the grid.
Playback Controls
Section titled “Playback Controls”Control audio playback without clicking anywhere.
Play and Pause
Section titled “Play and Pause”Press Space to play or pause. The behavior depends on what’s currently happening:
- If the waveform player is open with a track loaded, Space toggles that track’s playback
- If no player is open but you have tracks selected, Space starts playing your selection
- When multiple tracks are selected, Space queues them for sequential playback
Seek Within a Track
Section titled “Seek Within a Track”Press Left Arrow to skip back 5 seconds or Right Arrow to skip forward 5 seconds. This only works while a track is actually playing.
