Public Page
Your public page is your music portfolio on the web — a permanent, searchable page at client.producerdashboard.app/pages/your-name that showcases your best work. Unlike share links, which are temporary and recipient-specific, your public page is designed for clients to find you, browse your catalog, and reach out about licensing.
Think of it as your online music storefront. Once published, anyone with the link can explore your tracks, listen to previews, and contact you directly.
What You Need First
Section titled “What You Need First”Before you can publish, two things must be in place:
A connected Dropbox account is required. Your public page streams audio directly from Dropbox, allowing visitors to listen to track previews without downloading files. If Dropbox isn’t connected, you won’t be able to publish — the publish button stays disabled until you complete the connection.
Basic profile information comes from your account settings. Your artist name, bio, profile picture, and social links automatically appear on your public page. Edit these in Settings > Profile and Settings > Social Media — changes sync instantly to your public page.
Setting Up Your Page
Section titled “Setting Up Your Page”Navigate to Settings > Public Page to configure your portfolio. Here you can personalize how your page looks and decide what content appears.
Choosing Your Display Name
Section titled “Choosing Your Display Name”Your display name becomes your permanent URL: client.producerdashboard.app/pages/john-beats. Pick something memorable and professional — ideally your artist name or producer alias. Display names must be 3–50 characters and can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
The settings page shows whether a name is available as you type. Once chosen, this URL is yours — other producers won’t be able to claim it.
Customizing Appearance
Section titled “Customizing Appearance”Two options let you brand your page:
Banner image — Upload a wide landscape image that displays at the top of your page. This is your first impression, so choose something visually striking that represents your style.
Accent color — Pick a hex color code (like #3b82f6) that complements your brand. This color appears on play buttons, links, waveform players, and other interactive elements throughout your page.
Adding Content with Buckets
Section titled “Adding Content with Buckets”Your public page organizes music into bucket sections — each project bucket you add becomes a clickable section on your page. The section title is simply the bucket name, making it easy for visitors to understand what they’re browsing.
Selecting Buckets
Section titled “Selecting Buckets”In Settings > Public Page, click “Edit Buckets” to open the selector. You’ll see all your projects with their artwork and track counts. Check the boxes next to buckets you want to include, then save.
Empty buckets show a warning — they won’t display on your public page even if selected. Only buckets containing tracks appear to visitors.
Choosing Display Formats
Section titled “Choosing Display Formats”Each bucket section supports two display modes:
Grid view shows album artwork in a compact grid. This works well for large catalogs where visitors want to scan many tracks quickly.
Cards view displays tracks as larger horizontal cards with more details visible — think of it like a refined playlist view. You can also choose card size (small, medium, or large) to control how much space each track takes up.
Reordering Sections
Section titled “Reordering Sections”Drag and drop buckets in the settings panel to change their order on the page. The first bucket appears at the top of your public page, and visitors scroll down through your sections in the order you set.
Featuring Collaborators
Section titled “Featuring Collaborators”Your public page can highlight the people you work with. In Settings > Public Page, click “Edit Collaborators” to choose which collaborators appear and whether to feature specific ones.
Featured collaborators get extra visibility on your page — useful for highlighting producers, vocalists, or mix engineers you work with regularly. Collaborators appear in a dedicated section and can include links to their own profiles or websites.
Previewing Before You Publish
Section titled “Previewing Before You Publish”Before sharing your URL with the world, use the preview mode to see exactly what visitors will experience. In Settings > Public Page, click “Preview Page” — this opens your public page just as it would appear, letting you verify everything looks correct.
Check that your banner displays properly, your accent color works with your artwork, and all buckets contain the tracks you expect. If something needs adjustment, return to settings and make changes — the preview updates each time you open it.
Publishing Your Page
Section titled “Publishing Your Page”When you’re satisfied with how your page looks, click “Publish” in Settings > Public Page. Your page goes live immediately and becomes accessible at your unique URL.
You can unpublish at any time by clicking “Unpublish” — this removes your page from public access while keeping all your settings intact. Republish whenever you’re ready to go live again.
The Visitor Experience
Section titled “The Visitor Experience”When someone visits your public page, they see a professional portfolio designed for music discovery:
- Header area with your banner image, profile photo, name, and bio
- Social links in a compact row below your bio
- Bucket sections for each project you selected, showing your tracks
- Audio player that stays fixed at the bottom while browsing — visitors can play any track with a single click
- Contact option allowing visitors to reach out directly
Visitors don’t need an account to listen. They simply browse, click play, and use the contact form if interested in licensing your music.
