The Activity Feed
The Activity Feed is your personal command center for everything happening across your music projects. Whether you’re tracking a collaboration invite, watching for deadline reminders, or catching up on comments, the feed brings it all into one place.
You can find the Activity Feed by clicking the bell icon in the header. It opens as a dropdown panel showing your most recent notifications in chronological order, with the newest items at the top.
What Shows Up in the Feed
Section titled “What Shows Up in the Feed”The Activity Feed surfaces notifications from several categories, each with its own icon so you can scan quickly:
- Collaboration notifications — when someone invites you to work on a track or accepts your invite
- Deadline reminders — alerts when tracks are approaching or have passed their due date
- Workflow updates — notifications when a track’s stage changes (like moving from Idea to Editing)
- System alerts — important updates from Producer Dashboard about your account or settings
- Support feedback — responses to support tickets you’ve submitted
Each notification shows a title, a brief message, and how long ago it happened. Unread items appear with a highlighted background so you can spot new activity instantly.
Interacting with Notifications
Section titled “Interacting with Notifications”When you click a notification in the feed, two things happen:
- The notification gets marked as read
- You navigate directly to the relevant track
For collaboration invites, you’ll see an Accept Invite button right inside the notification. Click it to join the project and gain access to the shared files and track details.
If you receive a support ticket feedback notification, you’ll find quick-action buttons to let the team know whether your issue was resolved, still open, or no longer needs attention.
Marking Notifications as Read
Section titled “Marking Notifications as Read”You can mark individual notifications as read by clicking them. Or, if you want to clear everything at once, click the checkmark icon in the top-right corner of the Activity panel header. This marks all notifications as read in one step.
To dismiss a notification without navigating to it, click the small X button on the right side of the notification row.
Empty State
Section titled “Empty State”If your feed is empty, you’ll see a friendly illustration with the message “No new notifications.” This means you’re all caught up — no pending invites, upcoming deadlines, or system updates require your attention.
The empty state is a good visual cue that you’ve processed everything. As new activity comes in, notifications will appear automatically.
Notification Types and Icons
Section titled “Notification Types and Icons”The feed uses distinct icons and colors to help you prioritize:
| Category | Icon Style | When It Appears |
|---|---|---|
| Collaboration | People icon | New invites, accepted collaborations |
| Deadline | Calendar icon | Tracks nearing or past due date |
| Workflow | Checklist icon | Stage changes on tracks |
| Reminder | Clock icon | Time-based prompts you set |
| System | Info icon | Account and app updates |
High-priority notifications get a subtle visual treatment to stand out from routine updates.
Real-Time Updates
Section titled “Real-Time Updates”The Activity Feed refreshes automatically. When new notifications arrive while you’re using Producer Dashboard, they appear in the feed without you needing to refresh the page. You’ll also see the unread count update on the bell icon in the header.
This real-time behavior is especially useful during collaboration. If you’re working on a track with someone else, you’ll know the moment they accept your invite, leave a comment, or change the track’s stage.
Navigating from Notifications
Section titled “Navigating from Notifications”Every notification is tied to a specific track. When you click it, Producer Dashboard takes you directly to that track’s detail view, with the relevant widget already highlighted. This saves you from hunting through your project list to find what triggered the alert.
For notifications that don’t link to a specific track (like general system announcements), clicking the item marks it as read but stays on your current page.
:::tip Set Due Dates for Priority Tracking Pair due dates with the Activity Feed to create a natural priority system. Tracks with approaching deadlines surface as deadline reminders, helping you focus on what matters most before a client meeting or release date. :::
