Marketing Widget

The Marketing widget lives in the activity panel under the Sell tab and gives you everything you need to start selling licenses for your music. When you select a track, you can enable licensing, set your prices, and choose how buyers contact you to complete transactions.

This widget is your storefront controls — think of it as deciding which products go on the shelf and at what price.


The Marketing widget adapts depending on what you’ve selected:

Nothing selected — You’ll see a prompt asking you to select a track before configuring licensing. This is normal until you click on a song in the grid.

Single track selected — You get the full licensing interface with all your options laid out. The widget shows your current licensing status, pricing options, and a toggle to enable or disable sales.

Multiple tracks selected — You see a bulk licensing view designed for applying the same licensing configuration across several tracks at once. This saves time when you’re setting up a release with consistent pricing.

Not an owner — If you select a track where you’re a collaborator but not the owner, you’ll see a message that licensing isn’t available. Only the track owner can configure selling options.


When you open the widget for a track you own, look for the toggle labeled Enable licensing for this track. Flip this switch to activate sales for that song.

Before licensing works, you need a few things in place:

  • Dropbox connected — Licenses deliver files through Dropbox. If you haven’t connected your Dropbox account in Settings → Integrations, the widget shows a warning banner. Click the link in the warning to go directly to the integrations page.
  • At least one license type set up — In your Licensing Settings, you can create license types like “Standard,” “Premium,” or “Exclusive.” Each has its own price and usage terms. The widget pulls these from your settings.

Once licensing is enabled and your Dropbox is connected, buyers can purchase access to your track through your public page.


Each track can have multiple license types available for purchase. Common examples include:

  • Standard — A basic license for personal or small projects
  • Premium — Full commercial rights with higher pricing
  • Exclusive — Transfer all rights to one buyer at a premium price

To configure license types for a selected track:

  1. Make sure licensing is enabled
  2. Check the boxes next to the license types you want to offer
  3. Set or update prices for each type

The license types available come from your global Licensing Settings, so you manage them in one place and they’re consistent across your catalog.


When a buyer purchases a license or wants to discuss terms, they need a way to reach you. The Marketing widget lets you choose how:

  • Default — Uses the contact method from your public page settings
  • Email — Buyers see a specific email address
  • URL — Buyers are directed to a custom link (useful for directing to a booking form or payment page)
  • Stripe — Connects to Stripe for automated payment processing

Set this in the Contact Method section of the widget. The option you choose appears on your public page for each track that has licensing enabled.


When you select two or more tracks you own, the widget switches to bulk mode. This is handy when you’re setting up an album or EP release and want consistent pricing across all tracks.

In bulk mode, you can:

  • Enable or disable licensing for all selected tracks at once
  • Apply the same license types and prices to every track
  • Skip individual configuration for each song

The widget shows you a summary of what will change before you confirm. If some tracks have mixed ownership, you’ll see a warning that bulk actions only apply to tracks you own.


At the top of the widget, you’ll find a View Public Page link if you’ve set up your public page. This opens a preview of how your track appears to buyers — exactly what they’ll see when browsing your catalog.
