Account Management

Your account is the foundation of everything you do in Producer Dashboard. From here you can review your profile information, manage security settings, verify your email address, and control how your account data is handled. This guide walks you through each area so you always know where to go when something needs updating.

Open the Settings panel from the main navigation or toolbar. Click Account in the sidebar to view your account management page. You’ll see your current account status, profile details, and available actions all in one place.

The account page displays the core details associated with your account:

  • Email address — the login credential tied to your account
  • Display name — how you appear to collaborators on shared tracks
  • Account created — the date you first signed up
  • Avatar — your profile picture shown across the app

If you need to update your name or avatar, head to the Profile & Avatar settings page. Your email address is managed separately through security settings since it serves as your primary login identifier.

Keeping your account secure starts with verifying your email and maintaining a strong password. Producer Dashboard handles authentication using industry-standard tokens, ensuring your sessions remain protected across devices.

When you first create an account, you receive a verification email at the address you signed up with. Click the link in that email to confirm you own that address. Verified accounts show a checkmark badge in your account settings, giving collaborators confidence they’re working with a confirmed identity.

If you did not receive the verification email, check your spam folder. You can also request a new verification email from the account settings page if needed.

Forgot your password? On the sign-in screen, click Forgot password and enter your email address. Producer Dashboard sends a secure reset link valid for a limited time. Click the link in the email to choose a new password, then sign in with your updated credentials.

Producer Dashboard uses token-based authentication to keep your session active without repeatedly asking for your password. Tokens automatically refresh in the background, so you experience uninterrupted access while your account remains protected. If you ever sign out, those tokens are invalidated immediately.

Your account can exist in one of two states:

Active — your account is fully operational, and you can access all features, collaborate on tracks, and manage projects.

Pending verification — your email address has not been confirmed yet. Some features may be limited until verification is complete.

Deleted — once an account is permanently deleted, all data is removed. Deleted accounts cannot be accessed or restored. See Account Deletion below for details.

Before accessing most features, you must accept the current Producer Dashboard license agreement. This agreement outlines the terms of using the software, your responsibilities as a user, and what you can expect from the platform.

When a new version of the agreement is released, you are prompted to review and accept it the next time you sign in. You cannot proceed to the main dashboard until acceptance is recorded. Your acceptance status is tracked by version, so you only need to re-accept when meaningful changes are made.

Email changes require verification of both the new address and confirmation of your identity. Navigate to the security section of account settings, enter your new email, and follow the verification link sent to that address. Your original email remains active until the new one is confirmed.

Your display name can be updated at any time from the Profile & Avatar settings page. The change takes effect immediately across all your existing tracks and collaborator views. There is no limit on how often you can update your name.

Upload a new profile picture from the Profile & Avatar page. Supported formats include JPG, PNG, and WebP. Your avatar appears next to your name in collaborator lists, track comments, and notifications.

If you link external services like Dropbox, those connections are managed separately from your main account settings. See the Connected Accounts guide for details on linking, unlinking, and troubleshooting integrations.

Before deleting your account, export any data you want to keep. Once deleted, your information cannot be recovered by you or by support.

To initiate account deletion, visit the account settings page and select the delete option. You may be asked to confirm your identity or provide a reason for leaving.

If you encounter issues with your account — such as trouble signing in, missing verification emails, or questions about account restoration — reach out through the support options available in the Help menu. Provide your account email and a description of the issue for the fastest resolution.
