Playlist Sharing

Playlist sharing lets you bundle multiple tracks into a single shareable link. Instead of sharing songs one by one, you can create a cohesive collection — perfect for sending demos to collaborators, sharing a release preview with your team, or distributing a curated playlist to fans.

When you share a playlist, recipients see a beautiful public page with all your tracks, artwork, and metadata. You decide whether they can download bounces, stems, or project files, and you can set an expiration date if you need the link to stop working after a certain time.

Playlist sharing creates a unique URL that anyone can access without needing a Producer Dashboard account. The link displays your tracks in a listener-friendly interface — artwork, song names, BPM, key, and waveform visualizations — along with any download options you’ve enabled.

Behind the scenes, your files are served securely through Dropbox. You’ll need to connect your Dropbox account in Settings before creating share links. Once connected, you can share files without exposing your Dropbox credentials to recipients.

To start sharing, select one or more tracks in your grid, then click the Share button in the toolbar. The playlist share modal opens, ready for you to configure your share.

When you open the modal, it automatically includes all tracks you had selected. You can share up to 50 tracks in a single playlist. The modal displays each track in an accordion — click any track to expand it and see which files are available for sharing.

File discovery works automatically. The system scans your Dropbox folders for bounces, stems, and project files associated with each track. If your files follow a standard folder structure (separate folders for bounces, stems, and projects), the discovery process finds everything without any extra work from you.

At the top of the modal, you’ll see a Playlist Name field. By default, it uses the single track’s name if you selected just one, or “X Tracks” if you selected multiple. Feel free to rename it to something more meaningful — this name appears as the page title when recipients open your share link.

The permissions section controls what recipients can access on your share page. You have three options to toggle:

  • Bounces — the final mixed-down audio files (WAV, MP3, stems out, and so on)
  • Stems — individual instrument or vocal tracks separated out
  • Projects — your DAW project files (Ableton, Logic, FL Studio, Pro Tools, and others)

By default, bounces are enabled and stems/projects are disabled. Toggle each option on or off depending on what you want to share. For example, you might enable bounces and stems when sharing with a mixing engineer, but only bounces when sending to a playlist curator.

If you want to share your music without allowing any downloads, enable Stream Only mode. This disables all download permissions and presents your tracks as streaming-only. Recipients can listen but cannot access the actual files. This is useful for preview links, social media shares, or any situation where you want to share your sound without giving away the masters.

By default, playlist links never expire. If you need the link to stop working after a specific date — perhaps for a time-sensitive demo or limited release — use the Expiration dropdown to choose when the link expires.

When a share expires, recipients see a message indicating the link is no longer active. You can always create a new share link with the same tracks if needed.

Before creating your link, the modal shows a summary of your settings:

  • Files available — a breakdown of bounces, stems, and projects found across all tracks
  • Download permissions — which file types are enabled
  • Expiration — when the link will stop working (or “Never” if no expiration is set)

You can adjust any of these settings before generating the link.

When you’re satisfied with your settings, click Create Share Link. The system generates a unique URL and displays it in the modal. You can:

  • Copy the link to your clipboard
  • Open the share page in a new tab to preview what recipients will see

The link is ready to share via email, social media, or direct message.

Once created, your playlist shares appear in the Sharing section of your account. From there you can:

  • Copy the share link
  • See how many times the link was viewed and how many downloads occurred
  • Delete a share link when you no longer need it

Remember that deleting a share link is permanent — anyone with that link will no longer be able to access your tracks.
